The place to be on the evening of Thursday, Jan. 18 was the WWS Auditorium. Between the lights, dancing and, singing, the WWS Show Choirs put on an amazing show. This performance was their preview show, to prepare for the beginning of the show choir season. Esprit and The Classics wowed the crowd with their skills, standing out for their choreography, vocal skills, and bedazzled outfits.
Beginning with the all-girl group, Esprit, the preview kicked off. With background music by the WWS show band, their performance amazed watchers. Their theme of female friendship was carried throughout their set of songs, portraying a beautiful story.
Following up, The Classics, South’s mixed show choir, gave a great and stellar performance. With great solos by Owen Miller and Izzy Yonke, the storyline about a show choir court was an interesting and unique watch. Troy Dunlap, a junior on The Classics, states that “joining show choir is the greatest decision I’ve ever made in my life.”
After they finished, the audience went crazy, the singers earning a standing ovation. It was an amazing kick-off to the season. All of South wishes show choir an amazing season and is cheering them on!
